- Assisting with project meetings, reporting and client communication
- Coordinating with estimating and pre-construction teams during project handover
- Identifying potential project risks, design issues and schedule impacts
- Supporting change management and maintaining accurate project records
- Working closely with general contractors, owners, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
- Supporting commissioning, project closeout and final documentation
- Ensuring company standards around safety, quality and project execution are maintained
What They Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience within electrical construction and be looking to continue developing their project management career on larger and more technically challenging projects.
You should ideally have:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or similar position within construction
- An electrical contracting or electrical construction background
- Experience supporting commercial or technically complex construction projects
- A good understanding of project controls, including RFIs, submittals, change orders and procurement
- Exposure to project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting and scheduling
- Experience coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, vendors and clients
- The ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- A genuine interest in progressing into a Project Manager position
Experience within data centers, mission-critical facilities, healthcare, aviation or large commercial construction would be particularly relevant.
