Department: Product Design
Reports To: Creative Director, Men's Fine Fashion Jewelry Collection
Location: Los Angeles & Santa Barbara. Based In Office & Remote working based on needs of business
Employment Type: Part-Time to start (20–24 hours/week), with the opportunity to move to full-time following the successful launch of the new collection

Sheryl Lowe Designs is redefining what fine jewelry looks like for a new generation of men – modern, versatile, and made to be worn every day. We're a fast-moving team building a men's category from the ground up, and we're looking for an Associate Designer who's excited to help define it.
Position OverviewThis is a ground-floor opportunity to join a new business team and reporting directly with our Creative Director to reimagine what men's jewelry can be — for this launch and for the long term. You'll help build a brand-new men's fine fashion jewelry collection from the ground up, working closely with our design and product teams to bring new pieces to life from first sketch to final sample. The role begins part-time while we build toward launch, with a clear path to full-time once the collection is out in the world.
What You'll Do• Work closely with the Creative Director and a small new-business team to help shape the vision, product strategy, and design direction for a brand-new men's fine fashion jewelry collection
• Design new styles across rings, chains, bracelets, and pendants that feel modern, wearable, and true to our brand's point of view
• Build 3D CAD models (Rhino or Matrix) and prepare files for prototyping and production
• Stay plugged into menswear, streetwear, and culture — bring trend and inspiration research directly into concept development
• Work hands-on with samples at every stage, giving clear, specific feedback to hit fit, scale, and finish
• Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, production, and marketing to make sure designs are on-brand, on-trend, and buildable at target price points
• Keep tech packs, specs, and cost sheets organized and up to date across an active pipeline of styles
• Help build mood boards and design presentations for internal reviews
What You'll Bring• Recent design school graduate, or 1–3 years of jewelry design experience (fine jewelry background strongly preferred)
• Working knowledge of Rhino, Matrix, or similar jewelry CAD software
• Strong sketching/rendering skills and comfort with Adobe Creative Suite
• A genuine interest in men's style, culture, and how men actually wear jewelry day to day
• Basic understanding of metals, gemstones, and how jewelry gets made
• A portfolio that shows your design thinking, not just finished renders
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, still-figuring-it-out environment
Nice to Have• Experience with alternative or mixed materials (titanium, enamel, leather, cord)
• Direct-to-consumer or e-commerce brand experience
• A social presence or personal project that reflects your point of view on design
What We Offer• Competitive pay
• After 6 months employment, opportunity for full-time employment
• A real seat at the table on a category we're building together
To ApplySend your resume and portfolio to hiring@sheryllowedesigns.com — we'd love to see how you think, not just what you've made.
