About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Manufacturing Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will machine molds and precision components supporting both production and prototype programs. You will work closely with engineering teams to provide manufacturing input, repair and build tooling, and support the fabrication of high-end composite assemblies.
This position offers ownership of the entire machining process, from CAM programming and setup through final production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a high-accountability, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2-4+ years of CNC machining experience, preferably in mold making, high-precision machining, or complex 3D surfacing
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Onshape, Autodesk Fusion CAM, Mastercam, or similar platforms
- Experience operating CNC mills and CNC lathes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- U.S. Person status as defined by EAR and ITAR regulations
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Entry to mid-level experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage materials and tooling operations, including capacity planning, purchasing, tooling acquisition, and workflow standardization
- Deliver high-quality molds and prototype components within aggressive project timelines
- Own the complete machining process, including CAM programming, machine setup, and production
- Collaborate with design engineers to optimize manufacturability and production efficiency
- Communicate project status, timelines, challenges, and solutions effectively
- Select, set up, and optimize tooling for machining composite and metal components
- Maintain, calibrate, and support shop equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional manufacturing environment
- Develop and improve CAM templates, fixturing methods, and scalable production processes
