Commercial Program Manager with Life Sciences Experience

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Life Sciences Commercial Program Manager / Business Analyst / SME to support strategic business and technology initiatives for a leading biopharmaceutical organization.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical commercial domain knowledge along with experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and program/project leadership.

This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with commercial business teams, technology, data and analytics teams, and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to understand complex business needs, translate them into actionable requirements and initiatives, and help drive programs through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Life Sciences commercial subject matter expert and business partner.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, processes, and opportunities.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Translate business needs into use cases, process flows, functional requirements, and actionable initiatives.
• Partner with technology, data, analytics, AI, and product teams to develop business solutions.
• Manage projects, programs, and/or individual workstreams from planning through execution.
• Track project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and drive action items and decisions to closure.
• Develop business cases, roadmaps, presentations, status reports, and executive communications.
• Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, AI, automation, and technology to improve commercial business processes.
• Support testing, UAT, implementation, change management, and adoption activities as needed.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure alignment across business and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare.
• Strong understanding of commercial Life Sciences business processes and functions.
• Experience working as a Business Analyst, Business Consultant, SME, Program Manager, or similar role.
• Strong business requirements gathering and analysis experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects, programs, or cross-functional workstreams.
• Experience working directly with senior business stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into clear requirements and actionable solutions.
• Experience partnering with technology, data, analytics, or digital teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Monica, CA.
