About The Company:

Our client is a global organization seeking an experienced equity compensation professional to provide interim support within its Total Rewards function. This position will focus on the administration of equity compensation programs, employee stock purchase programs, reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and cross-functional coordination.


Job Description:

The Equity Compensation Consultant will provide hands-on support for global equity compensation programs and related processes. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely administration of equity awards, maintaining participant data, supporting payroll and financial processes, and assisting with audit and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will have substantial public-company equity compensation experience, strong analytical and Excel skills, and the ability to independently manage detailed processes with multiple deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer global long-term incentive and equity compensation programs from award issuance through completion of applicable transactions.
  • Process and validate grants, vesting activity, releases, cancellations, exercises, conversions, and other equity-related transactions.
  • Manage various aspects of employee stock purchase programs, including enrollment updates, payroll contributions, purchase activity, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Review equity calculations, transaction records, payroll files, and participant data to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate employee, award, payroll, and HR information within equity administration systems.
  • Research and resolve data discrepancies and integration issues in partnership with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and event-specific reconciliations while maintaining appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Assist with SOX controls, internal audits, external audits, and management review processes.
  • Partner with Payroll and Finance on taxable events, funding, accounting support, financial reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Executive Compensation, compliance teams, and outside advisors regarding plan requirements, tax considerations, controls, and global regulations.
  • Support annual equity cycles, including grant processing, vesting preparation, employee reporting, tax deliverables, and related communications.
  • Compile and verify equity information used for executive compensation disclosures, CD&A materials, proxy statements, and other annual reporting.
  • Assist with reviewing proxy-related information and addressing questions or discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain employee resources including FAQs, plan communications, tax materials, procedures, and educational documentation.
  • Respond to escalated employee questions and assist with resolving complex equity-related issues.
  • Monitor key deadlines, approvals, outstanding items, dependencies, and potential risks.
  • Maintain organized process documentation, issue logs, procedures, and transition materials.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct equity compensation administration experience.
  • Experience supporting equity compensation programs within a publicly traded company.
  • Global equity administration experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with ESPP and long-term incentive programs.
  • Strong knowledge of equity award lifecycle processes and related transactions.
  • Experience with reconciliations, internal controls, audit support, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience supporting executive compensation disclosures, CD&A, proxy statements, or similar reporting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Experience using a stock plan administration platform.
  • Fidelity PSW experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with HR, payroll, finance, and integrated data systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Comfortable identifying discrepancies, escalating risks, and driving issues toward resolution.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and requirements.
