Through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, the team delivers accurate and timely product definitions to global supply chain and engineering functions.
This role will focus on generating and managing Flange-to-Flange (F2F) and accessories project structures for Steam Turbine and Generator products. The position will also support the management of Conversion, Modification and Uprate (CMU) Bills of Materials throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and maintain Engineering BOMs (EBOMs) and Unit BOMs, including conversion and release of Manufacturing BOMs (MBOMs) to applicable ERP systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) team, including Commercial and Application Engineering, in transitioning project scope into the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment following order release.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering to ensure timely handoff of requisition scope definitions to the Configuration Management team.
• Verify accurate generation of logical features based on selected configuration options and established variant configuration logic within PLM systems.
• Identify configuration discrepancies and collaborate with appropriate teams to resolve issues.
• Support Preliminary Bill of Materials (PBOM) review meetings for Steam Turbine and Generator products.
• Validate standard parts selected through applicable BOM rules and support Configure-to-Order (CtO) initiatives to maximize direct-release percentages on requisition orders.
• Assist Manufacturing and Sourcing teams with BOM timeliness, accuracy, and disconnects.
• Conduct regular BOM integrity monitoring and reporting.
• Execute Configuration Management responsibilities within established Change Management processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sourcing, Manufacturing, Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and Configuration Management teams to drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Ensure Configuration Management activities comply with established procedures, processes, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
