Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in construction or commercial general contracting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, construction job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition
• Experience with construction ERP systems such as Premier, Sage 300 CRE, or comparable platforms
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines with sound judgment and effective communication

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and reports
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and analyze financial trends; communicate variances and actionable insights to leadership
• Manage cash flows, banking relationships, debt compliance, and construction draws
• Maintain internal controls, safeguard assets, and oversee internal/external audit processes
• Manage, develop, and evaluate accounting staff; foster a collaborative team environment
• Improve workflows, software integrations, data quality, and reporting dashboards for construction accounting systems
• Develop scalable policies, KPI’s, and support growth initiatives
