Controller

Our client is a rapidly growing, well capitalized, middle market manufacturer located in the New Haven area. The company serves a diverse base of customers across multiple markets and has established a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service.

The Controller will go beyond the traditional scope of accounting, and be involved operationally to help the business make actionable financial decisions.

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close and financial reporting processes, ensuring statements are accurate, timely and prepared in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee accounts receivable, deductions and accounts payable, maintaining strong financial controls while improving cash flow and process efficiency.
• Evaluate financial results against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and developing updated projections to support business planning.
• Assess profitability, working capital and broader business performance to uncover trends, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Manage and develop the accounting team, establishing clear expectations and building a collaborative, accountable and high-performing function.
