Our client is looking for a Corporate Bookkeeper.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; or
- Associate degree and a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience; or
- High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with nonprofit and multi-funded organizations preferred.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Process company and affiliate invoices, including coding and entering transactions into the accounting system.
- Process accounts payable checks and ensure proper supporting documentation and approvals are obtained.
- Prepare and complete daily and weekly bank deposits.
- Process revenue receipts and journal entries, including coding and entry into the accounting system.
- Prepare, collect, and maintain vendor documentation, including W-9 forms and insurance certificates.
- Process third-party property management accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
- Maintain financial records, files, and grant and loan agreements under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer.
- Prepare and process annual 1099 forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS reporting requirements.
- Prepare and file annual regulatory and compliance reports, including TCAC forms, Secretary of State Statements of Information, and Business Property Statements (Form 571-L).
- Perform special financial projects related to real estate development and finance activities.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Provide financial and administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer as needed.
- Serve as backup support for Property Management and Corporate Accounting Bookkeepers.
- Maintain reporting calendars, track compliance deadlines, scan significant documents, and manage electronic filing systems.
- Attend required training sessions, seminars, and professional development programs.
