This position will support month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting, cost accounting, and process improvement initiatives while working closely with operations, engineering, and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Support POC accounting, revenue recognition, and manufacturing cost accounting.
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and general ledger reviews.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve accounting processes and reporting.
  • Help identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and support the company's finance transformation.
  • Assist with audits, internal controls, ERP enhancements, and cross-functional projects.
  • Support day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, fixed assets, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Experience with cost accounting and Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • ERP experience required; M3 is highly preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
  • Determined and confident in presenting ideas and driving change.
  • Strong at building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Process improvement focused with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable in a changing environment.

Team: You'll join a lean finance team of five (Accounting, Finance, AP, and AR) and serve as the replacement for a Senior Accountant, reporting directly to the Regional Controller. This role offers excellent long-term growth as the organization continues to centralize and modernize its accounting operations.
