What You’ll Do
As a Desktop Support Technician, you will provide hands-on technical support for staff and help maintain BMD’s technology infrastructure. You will respond to phone, email, and incident requests; troubleshoot hardware, software, endpoint, and system issues; document support activity; and partner with users to deliver timely and professional service.
In this role, you will:
• Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve end-user support requests by phone, email, and incident management channels.
• Troubleshoot desktop, notebook, software, hardware, peripheral, and endpoint device issues.
• Install and configure user systems, software, hardware, and peripherals.
• Support IT onboarding for new employees, including endpoint and access-related needs.
• Record, track, and document support actions through final resolution.
• Escalate issues through defined processes and partner with other departments or IT resources as needed.
• Assist with technology rollouts, system updates, endpoint support, and department projects.
• Communicate clearly with users to understand expectations, provide updates, and deliver a positive support experience.
• Support the IT team with additional technical tasks, projects, and operational needs.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of similar work experience.
• 3+ years of setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software.
• Experience with Microsoft O365, Entra, and Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows desktops and notebooks in domain-controlled environments.
• Basic understanding of networking environments.
• Experience working with enterprise-level customers.
• Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• A+, Microsoft Azure, O365, M365 certifications, or equivalent work experience.
• Lenovo and Apple device experience.
• VoIP administration experience.
• SharePoint administration experience.
• Experience with Azure or equivalent cloud services.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
This role is performed in a professional office/technology support environment with generally moderate noise levels and no unusual hazardous working conditions. Employees must be able to sit for extended periods, communicate by phone and in person, use hands to type and handle paperwork, walk up and down stairs, stoop, bend, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
