Position: Director of Asset Management
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $250,000-$275,000
A growing multifamily real estate investment and property management firm is seeking a full-time Director of Asset Management to lead the performance of their portfolio. High-visibility role with direct ownership exposure and strong growth potential.
What You'll Do
- Own asset management strategy across the full portfolio — investment objectives, financial targets, compliance
- Conduct on-site property visits and performance reviews; identify deficiencies and drive corrective action plans
- Oversee property management and maintenance functions portfolio-wide
- Assist in managing cash positions, including distributions, reserves, and capital needs
- Lead annual budgeting and business plan development
- Review monthly and annual financial statements and flag issues proactively
- Run sale/refinance analysis, including hold/sell recommendations and financing evaluation
- Prepare and deliver investor reporting packages as needed
- Identify and lead value-add initiatives to improve NOI and asset performance
What You Bring
- 7+ years of multifamily asset management experience, including sale/refi and investor reporting exposure
- Strong financial acumen — budgets, cash flow models, refi/sale analysis
- Advanced Excel required; PM software experience (Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio) a plus
- Experience overseeing property management and maintenance teams
- Strong communication skills — direct interface with ownership and investors
- Ability to travel regularly for on-site visits within Southern California
