Executive Vice President (EVP) of Human Resources
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Compensation: $150,000 – $250,000
Scope: 500 internal US employees | 8,000 associates across 45 states
Position Overview
A rapidly growing employer services firm specializing in staffing, recruiting, payroll, Employer of Record (EOR), and HR outsourcing is seeking an Executive Vice President of Human Resources. Driving enterprise-wide HR transformation during a period of aggressive M&A expansion, this executive will modernize policies, optimize operations, and maintain compliance across a high-volume, multi-state workforce. Partnering directly with ownership, Legal, and Finance, you will lead the HR function to support long-term growth and client service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & M&A Integration: Own enterprise-wide HR operations, rebuild policies and procedures, and direct post-merger HR integration across newly acquired companies.
Multi-State Compliance & Payroll: Ensure strict compliance with federal and multi-state labor laws, leave mandates, wage-and-hour regulations, and payroll practices across 45 states.
High-Volume Workforce Oversight: Design and execute scalable HR frameworks structured for high-volume, transactional hourly associate labor pools alongside internal corporate personnel.
Employee Relations & Benefits: Oversee end-to-end employee relations strategies, risk mitigation programs, and enterprise health and welfare benefits plans.
Global Team Direction: Manage and optimize offshore operations teams handling transactional HR, payroll support, and administration.
Executive Partnership: Collaborate directly with ownership and executive leaders in Legal and Finance to drive operational alignment and deliver premium service to enterprise clients.
Qualifications
Executive Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR leadership (VP/EVP level) within staffing, PEO, EOR, or employer services organizations. Bilingual Spanish
Domain Mastery: Proven track record supporting high-volume, transactional hourly workforces and managing multi-state operations.
M&A Expertise: Demonstrated success leading HR due diligence, culture alignment, and operational integration following acquisitions.
Global Operations: Hands-on experience directing both US-based teams and offshore HR support units.
