Director of Warehouse Operations

Growing organization is seeking an experienced **Director of Warehouse Operations** to lead a high-volume distribution operation. This hands-on leadership role will oversee daily warehouse activities while driving improvements in productivity, efficiency, service levels, safety, and team performance.

The Director will lead warehouse management and staff, establish performance standards, improve processes, and ensure the operation is positioned to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, pick/pack, fulfillment, and shipping.

* Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and warehouse personnel, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

* Manage staffing, scheduling, labor utilization, and daily workflow to meet volume and service requirements.

* Establish and monitor KPIs for productivity, throughput, accuracy, labor efficiency, safety, and on-time shipping.

* Identify and implement process improvements using **LEAN principles** to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

* Optimize the use of labor, technology, automation, equipment, and warehouse space.

* Standardize operating procedures and best practices across warehouse operations.

* Partner with Production, Customer Service, and Inventory teams to improve workflow and overall performance.

* Ensure compliance with **OSHA, EHS, and company safety standards**.

* Manage warehouse operating costs, budgets, and P&L performance.

* Lead major operational initiatives, including facility expansions, relocations, and process changes.

## Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or equivalent experience.

* **4-6+ years of progressive leadership experience** in high-volume warehouse/distribution operations.

* Experience in a pick/pack and ship environment handling approximately **2,000–4,000+ orders daily**.

* Proven success leading and developing high-performing warehouse teams.

* Strong background in process improvement, KPIs, labor management, and cost control.

* Knowledge of **LEAN methodologies, OSHA, and EHS standards**.

* Experience with **WMS, ERP systems, Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Office**.

* Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and project management skills.

* Experience with a distribution center relocation, expansion, or startup is highly desirable.

* **CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, PMP, or LEAN certification** is a plus.

* Bilingual Spanish is helpful but not required.
