A growing plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a Director of Firm Operations & Client Services to oversee the firm's day-to-day operations while serving as a key point of contact for clients. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to firm leadership and offers the opportunity to play a critical part in the continued growth of a collaborative, mission-driven practice. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in law firm operations, financial reporting, HR administration, and client service. The firm is looking for a confident, personable professional who can operate independently, maintain existing processes, and help elevate the client experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee law firm operations, vendor management, and administrative functions
- Prepare recurring financial, budget, and forecasting reports for firm leadership
- Track expenses, vendor spend, and operational metrics
- Manage payroll coordination, benefits administration, onboarding, and HR-related processes
- Coordinate employee benefits including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans
- Administer firm systems, software access, subscriptions, and user permissions
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide proactive case updates
- Answer client questions regarding process, timelines, and documentation requirements
- Assist with settlement-stage communications and document collection
- Oversee intake processes from initial contact through engagement
- Maintain accurate data within case management systems
- Support attorneys and paralegals with administrative and operational needs
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in law firm operations, legal operations, office management, or a similar leadership role
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational metrics
- Experience administering payroll, employee benefits, and HR processes
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency, including formulas and reporting
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Experience working with legal case management software preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125,000-$160,000, depending on experience
