Viceroy Hotels & Residences is returning to New York City with the opening of Viceroy Park Avenue in December 2026! Located in the heart of Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood, this highly anticipated luxury hotel represents an exciting new chapter for the globally recognized, design-forward hospitality brand. We are seeking motivated, hospitality-driven professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team, helping establish the property's culture, service standards, and operational excellence from day one.
The Director of Rooms is responsible for ensuring the operation of Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications and Reservations in an attentive, friendly, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and productivity, and developing managers and employees.
General Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead the development and execution of exceptional guest experiences that exceed luxury hospitality standards.
- Foster a culture of anticipatory service, ensuring team members proactively identify and fulfill guest preferences.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of customized itineraries, unique NYC experiences, and personalized guest journeys.
- Ensure flawless execution of all guest interactions from pre-arrival through post-departure.
- Drive luxury brand service standards throughout the Rooms Division.
- Review guest feedback, survey results, social media commentary, and luxury travel advisor feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Oversee all VIP arrivals, departures, special events, and personalized guest experiences
- Personally engage with key guests to strengthen loyalty and elevate the guest experience.
- Collaborate with Guest Experience, and Marketing teams to curate exclusive New York City experiences.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- 6+ years of progressive lifestyle/luxury hotel experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar leadership role
- Strong operational expertise across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Relations.
- Proven record of delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and financial performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong people management skills with proven ability to motivate staff and exceed guest expectations.
