Position Summary
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. This role partners with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to promote workplace safety, environmental compliance, food safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Manage permits, reporting requirements, audits, and inspections.
- Oversee waste management, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous materials, and pollution prevention programs.
- Maintain EHS documentation, SDS records, and compliance files.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement program updates.
Health & Safety
- Develop and maintain safety programs, procedures, and training.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and preparedness activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure contractor compliance.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver employee safety and compliance training.
- Lead safety meetings and awareness initiatives.
- Track EHS metrics and support corrective actions.
- Participate in sustainability, waste reduction, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with audits, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
