The Axel Group is hiring for a client looking to add an Environmental Scientist to their team in Camden County, NJ! This position is ideal for an environmental professional with 4-6 years of experience who is looking to take the next step in their career . The successful candidate will be involved in both field and office responsibilities, including environmental assessments, site remediation projects, and report preparation.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Prepare environmental reports and technical documentation for environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  • Participate in site remediation projects from investigation through closure.
  • Perform field activities including soil, groundwater, and environmental sampling as needed.
  • Coordinate and document environmental investigations in accordance with NJDEP requirements.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
  • Assist with data analysis, report preparation, and remediation recommendations.
  • Work closely with project managers, LSRPs, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support a variety of public and private sector environmental projects throughout New Jersey.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geology, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related environmental field.
  • 4-6 years of environmental consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with site remediation projects.
  • Experience preparing and conducting both Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Knowledge of NJDEP regulations and environmental compliance requirements is required.
  • Experience working on New Jersey remediation projects.
  • Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
