- Schedule Notes: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
Note- Minimum / Must Have requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (JD (Juris Doctor) is preferred).
Experience: Substantial, proven experience conducting internal workplace investigations. Minimum 4+ years conducting EEO-related investigations. Experience in conducting end-to-end workplace discrimination and sexual harassment investigations. Thorough knowledge in federal, state, and local anti-discrimination and employment laws.
Job Summary
The EEO Investigator is responsible for conducting impartial investigations of internal complaints involving discrimination, harassment, and sexual harassment. This role supports compliance with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws and helps ensure equal employment opportunity throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations of employee complaints involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related workplace issues.
- Interview complainants, respondents, and witnesses; gather and analyze relevant evidence and documentation.
- Prepare clear, objective, and comprehensive investigative reports with findings and recommendations.
- Ensure organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws and regulations.
- Assist in the resolution of EEO complaints and provide support throughout the investigative process.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive matters.
- Travel to healthcare facilities throughout New York City as needed to conduct investigations and provide EEO support.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace, employee relations, EEO, HR, compliance, or similar investigations.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and interviewing skills.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience investigating EEO, discrimination, harassment, or employee relations matters in a healthcare or large organizational setting.
- Professional certification related to workplace investigations, human resources, or compliance.
Work Environment
- Frequent travel within New York City to support multiple healthcare facilities.
