The firm has earned a reputation as a formidable opponent in the courtroom. The successful candidate will be resilient, decisive, comfortable operating in a high-accountability environment, and able to handle challenging cases, demanding personalities, and direct feedback without losing composure.

- Manage complex family law matters from intake through resolution.
- Develop case strategy and provide clear direction to the assigned legal team.
- Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings.
- Handle matters involving divorce, custody, child and spousal support, property division, domestic violence, and related family law issues.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
- Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
- Delegate assignments, monitor deadlines, and maintain accountability across the team.
- Mentor and develop associate attorneys and legal support professionals.
- Communicate candidly with clients regarding strategy, risk, expectations, and potential outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with firm leadership while exercising independent professional judgment.
Qualifications
- Active and in-good-standing membership with the State Bar of California.
- Substantial California family law experience.
- Meaningful courtroom, evidentiary hearing, and trial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated or highly contested family law matters.
- Prior experience supervising, mentoring, or directing attorneys and legal support staff.
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to remain composed in contentious situations.
- Confidence working within a performance-driven environment with high professional standards.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to oversee numerous cases and deadlines.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with regular attendance at the Irvine office.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a confident and strategic family law litigator who enjoys leading others and taking ownership of case outcomes. This person is not intimidated by aggressive opposing counsel, complicated facts, or emotionally charged disputes. They set clear expectations, communicate directly, and hold themselves and their team accountable for producing excellent work.
The position is based near John Wayne Airport and offers a hybrid schedule. Additional information regarding benefits, performance expectations, and the firm will be provided during the confidential interview process.
