Perris, CA | $25-42/hr | Up to 50% travel
Manual machinist needed for a rotating equipment repair shop. This is repair and overhaul work on pumps, steam turbines, and compressors. One-off parts, not production runs.
What you'll do
- Set up and run horizontal lathes, milling machines, VTL, and Bullard
- Turning, boring, threading, facing, drilling, and milling on pump, turbine, and compressor components
- Work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Select your own tooling, fixtures, and materials for each setup
- Check your work with micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Tolerances to .0005"
- Inspect incoming and finished parts for wear, defects, and spec compliance
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust for accuracy
- Assist with disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components
What you need
- 5 to 10 years as a manual machinist
- Horizontal lathes, mills, VTL, and Bullard
- Able to read drawings and use calibrated measuring tools
- Able to hold .0005"
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Able to lift 50 lbs and stand or walk most of the shift
- OMEGA experience is a plus
Details
Full time. 40 hours minimum, averaging 45. Overtime available. Up to 50% travel, domestic and international, so you'll need a current passport.
