Our client, a small group and personal training studio, is opening a second location and searching for a dynamic Fitness Director, working 40-50 hours per week, allocated approximately:
20 hours training clients
- 10-12 hours on new-client revenue (assessments, lead follow-up and nurture)
- 5-10 hours maintaining client relationships (check-ins, nutrition meetings, re-activations)
- 2-5 hours meetings and leading staff
Key Responsibilities:
KRA #1: Head of Sales
- Call new leads, unconverted leads, unconverted trials, terminated members daily
- Schedule and conduct consultations
- Document and manage the lead conversion/sales system
- Convert consultations to paid memberships
- Reactivate terminated members
- Drive back end sales: Supplements, apparel, internal challenges, etc.
- Update scorecard weekly
KRA #2: Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA)
- Meet with coaching staff weekly - facilitate and lead coaches meeting
- Conduct quarterly and annual reviews of coaches
- Be sure all team members know and implement our systems
- Maintain the culture of outstanding customer service amongst all staff
- High and positive energy communicated from our team to our clients
- Responsible for the performance of all team members
- Manage coaches’s schedules
- Participate in Level 10 meeting weekly
- Find coverage for coaches who call out, and/or cover the shifts if you can’t get them covered
KRA #3: Member Success, Customer Service, and Communication
- New member onboarding
- Maintain relationships with all members
- Cultivate “You wouldn’t believe my gym did this” moments, celebrate them and share it
- Execute Starting Point Sessions
- Ensure members are being cared for consistent with our ideal member experience, mission, and vision
- Manage and celebrate member birthdays, anniversaries, personal accomplishments, and gym accomplishments
- Organize and execute member events, gatherings, challenges, and parties
- Manage holds, cancellations, and billing for members
- Communicate with members about events, changes, scheduling, etc.
- Keep active members list accurate and up to date weekly
- Run missed sessions and canceled sessions report daily, and call all members on it
- Check consult schedule for next day and prepare for consults
- Reactivate former members
- Upgrade current members
- Gather referrals
KRA #4: Internal and community marketing
- Create content for social media about the success of our members to help promote the gym through stories and testimonials
- Gather testimonials and Google Reviews
- Create relationships with local businesses and in the community
- Set up booths at local events
- Offer sponsorships with local businesses in exchange for promotions
- Offer free demos and clinics to local businesses who share the same clientele
- Be a presence in the community by putting out useful content and meeting with local leaders
- Ask for and manage referrals, give referral gifts
