Full Charge Bookkeeper

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, general ledger and reconciliations
• Process weekly payroll, including taxes, deductions, benefits and garnishments
• Manage month-end close and prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Track job costs across active projects and partner with operations
• Manage vendor invoicing and payments, including progress billing when applicable
• Maintain required insurance, workers’ comp, sales tax and compliance records
• Partner with the CEO and outside CPA on year-end tax preparation and audits
• Help improve accounting and administrative processes through technology, automation and AI

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
• Construction, contracting, manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred
• Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills
• Hands-on payroll experience; Paycom or a similar system preferred
• Job costing/project accounting experience is a plus
• Highly organized, accurate, trustworthy and comfortable working independently
• Tech-savvy with an interest in improving processes and efficiency
• Notary Public and/or bilingual capabilities are a plus
