Full Charge Bookkeeper
Hauppauge, NY | $85K–$105K

Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle bookkeeping, including AP, AR, general ledger and reconciliations
- Process weekly payroll, including taxes, deductions, benefits and garnishments
- Manage month-end close and prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Track job costs across active projects and partner with operations
- Manage vendor invoicing and payments, including progress billing when applicable
- Maintain required insurance, workers’ comp, sales tax and compliance records
- Partner with the CEO and outside CPA on year-end tax preparation and audits
- Help improve accounting and administrative processes through technology, automation and AI
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience
- Construction, contracting, manufacturing or similar industry experience preferred
- Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills
- Hands-on payroll experience; Paycom or a similar system preferred
- Job costing/project accounting experience is a plus
- Highly organized, accurate, trustworthy and comfortable working independently
- Tech-savvy with an interest in improving processes and efficiency
- Notary Public and/or bilingual capabilities are a plus
