🚨 Hiring: Fund Accountant

📍 Hackensack, NJ 07601 – Hybrid

📍 Open to candidates in New York / Wall Street

💰 $40–$42/hr

⏳ Contract Opportunity – 6 Months (Contract to Hire)

We are looking for an experienced Fund Accountant to support accounting, financial reporting, investor servicing, and administration for alternative investment clients, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, CLOs, and Investment Advisers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform/review fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting

• Support complex expense, incentive fee, and reconciliation calculations

• Review accounting and financial statement information for audit and tax requirements

• Handle complex investment types and accounting setups

• Identify risk/issues, drive resolution, and support process improvements

• Serve as an escalation point for clients and collaborate with internal teams

• Provide guidance and oversight to accounting/administration team members

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2–4 years of experience in Fund Accounting / Alternative Investments

• Experience with Hedge Funds, Private Equity, CLOs, Fund Administration, or Fund Audit

• Strong understanding of portfolio accounting and investment management

• Strong Microsoft Office/Excel skills

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

• CPA

• Experience with Advent applications

• Knowledge of Confluence financial reporting platform

• Big Four / Midsize public accounting experience with fund audits
