About the Role

General Education Teachers provide high-quality instruction aligned with Illinois learning standards while fostering an engaging, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. In this role, you will collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families to help students reach their academic and personal potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
• Assess student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive student behavior.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL).
• Appropriate Illinois endorsement for the subject area being taught.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for student learning and academic achievement.
• Previous classroom experience preferred but not required.
