General Manager

Core Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 12+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience
• Previous experience working with unions

Preferred Requirements:

• MBA or advanced degree
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement leadership experience

The successful General Manager will have full responsibility for the performance, profitability, and continued development of the business unit. This leader will establish the operating direction for the organization while ensuring manufacturing, materials, maintenance, and supporting functions are aligned around common business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of business unit performance with an emphasis on profitability, operational execution, and sustainable growth
• Establish a results-oriented operating environment centered around safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer expectations
• Optimize manufacturing, materials, and maintenance activities to improve throughput, reduce operating costs, and strengthen overall plant performance
• Identify and execute opportunities to improve the organization’s competitive position through Lean Manufacturing and process improvement
• Translate financial and operational performance into actionable priorities that improve P&L results and support business objectives
