Head of Accounting

An award‑winning food services business is searching for a Head of Accounting who can lead the accounting function whilst partnering with the CFO on a series of change and improvement initiatives that will support the company’s 50+ year metronomic growth. The business has an incredible track record of stable expansion, and there is meaningful room for this leader to modernize systems, strengthen controls, and elevate reporting quality across a multi‑location operation.

The Head of Accounting will serve as the senior technical authority for financial reporting and GAAP compliance. The role includes leadership of a large team, ownership of tax and regulatory requirements, and responsibility for internal controls and accounting systems. It also includes support for acquisition accounting and integration as the company continues to grow through inorganic expansion.

This opportunity is ideal for a CPA coming from a Controller‑level role in a business of roughly 500 million in revenue who wants to lead, modernize, and elevate the accounting engine of a stable, growing, multi‑location organization while building the toolkit required to progress toward a future CFO role.

What you bring:

• CPA is a must-have
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years of leading teams of 10+
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience in hospitality, food service, or similar industry
• Experience in a multi-unit, high transaction volume environment
