THE MISSION
Momentuum Blue works because the people in it are embedded where the client's problem actually lives, not adjacent to it. That only holds together if we can consistently find, evaluate, and bring in people capable of carrying that responsibility, at the pace the mission requires.
We have proven the model. Pods are deployed and delivering. Cohort 1 came from a pool of more than 400 candidates across seven universities. The constraint ahead of us is not whether the model works, it is whether we can supply it with the right people fast enough. This role owns that supply.
WHERE THIS ROLE SITS
This role reports to the CTO. Recruiting is the mechanism that proves or breaks our growth target, so it stays close to the mission owner rather than sitting inside a broader function while the model is still being proven at scale.
This role works as a peer to the Head of People, Momentuum Blue, not underneath that function. The two leaders share a bar for who gets hired and a common view of Momentuum Blue’s growth, but each owns a distinct mandate. Recruiting owns the funnel. People owns everything a candidate experiences once they are inside Momentuum Blue.
This is one role covering two different hiring motions today, Associate FDE academy recruiting and Senior FDE lateral hiring. Both report to the same leader so that the bar, the story we tell candidates, and the pace of decisions stay consistent while the function is still small. As volume grows, this leader builds a team underneath to specialize by motion and by domain.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Area
Scope
Associate FDE Funnel
End to end ownership of sourcing, screening, and selection for each academy cohort, in partnership with whoever owns academy design and delivery. Cohort 1 drew from CMU, Rutgers, Northeastern, UT Austin, Purdue, University of Chicago, and Stevens. Cohort 2 opens in early September 2026.
Senior FDE Funnel
End to end ownership of lateral hiring for Senior FDEs across all six domains, including where and how we use external search partners for domain specific reach.
Employer Brand for Talent
Momentuum Blue's positioning to candidates and universities, distinct from Coforge's corporate employer brand, consistent with how the practice already presents itself externally.
Recruiting Systems and Analytics
Pipeline health, selectivity, and pacing against our growth target, with clear visibility into where coverage is thin by domain or geography.
University and Domain Partnerships
Deepening relationships with our current university partners and building new ones, plus building genuine channels into each of the six target domains for senior talent.
Global Playbook
Building the recruiting model once and adapting it for new geographies. The UK is replicating the Senior and Associate FDE model, and will execute it locally through a dedicated hire once that build matures.
WHAT IS OUT OF SCOPE
- Compensation bands and offer construction, which stay with the Momentuum Blue People function
- Academy curriculum design and cohort operations, which stay with whoever owns the academy
- Corporate Coforge recruiting outside Momentuum Blue
HOW WE WILL MEASURE YOU IN YEAR ONE
Metric
What It Tells Us
Pipeline coverage and pacing
Whether we are on track against our multi-year FDE growth target, tracked monthly rather than discovered at year end.
Selectivity held or improved
Whether the bar stays high as cohort size grows. Selectivity is a credibility signal for the practice, not a byproduct of it.
Speed from selection to billable
Time from candidate selection through the shadow period to first billable engagement.
Domain coverage and source diversity
Growth in genuine hiring channels across all six target domains, not concentration in one or two.
University partnership growth
Expansion of active partnerships beyond our current seven schools.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience and Track Record
- 10 to 15 years in talent acquisition or recruiting leadership, with direct experience in both selective early career hiring and senior technical or domain expert hiring, not one or the other.
- Has built a recruiting function from close to zero before, ideally inside a startup or a fast-scaling technical program, rather than having managed a function that already existed
- Has run or built a selective, cohort-based early career program, with a real point of view on what predicts success beyond a resume
- Comfortable evaluating technical and domain depth directly, or partnering closely enough with engineering and domain leaders to do so with real judgment
- Genuine, active networks in at least two or three of our six target domains, not a generalist background alone
What Sets This Person Apart
- Uses AI tools directly in their own work today, for sourcing, screening, and pipeline analysis, rather than approving their use by others
- Brings the same mindset to running their own function that we ask of every FDE pod, ownership of outcomes rather than volume of requisitions filled
- Comfortable being measured on outcomes against a growth target, in the same way we measure the pods themselves
- Brings energy and a point of view that shapes how we recruit, not just execution against a plan someone else wrote
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
EEO & Accommodations
- Coforge is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
- Reasonable accommodations are available for candidates during the selection process.
