Investigative Counsel

Under the general guidance of the four Commissioners of the State Commission of Investigation and the specific direction of the Executive Director and Director/ Special Counsel, Investigative Counsel shall plan, develop, organize and supervise fact-finding investigations. These investigations include organized crime and racketeering, the conduct of public officials and employees and any other matters concerning the public peace, safety and justice.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited law school. Holding of a current license in good standing to practice law in the State of New Jersey.

EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years as a practicing attorney, preferably in prosecutorial work in law enforcement and/or in the conduct of complex civil or other types of fact-finding investigations.

LICENSE:

Membership in the New Jersey State Bar Association.
