The Role

The successful attorney will support and lead matters involving:

• AI, copyright, trademark, trade secret and false advertising disputes

• Legal research, pleadings, motions, briefs and client advice

• Discovery, document collection and e-discovery management

• Litigation, enforcement and dispute-resolution strategy

• Product-development risk and enforcement counselling

• Collaboration with privacy, technology and appellate teams

• Depositions, hearings, trial and specialist-forum preparation

• The Lanham Act, Copyright Act, DMCA, trade-secret laws and CFAA

• Client communications, deadlines and concurrent matter management

The role offers direct partner collaboration, increasing responsibility and substantial exposure to emerging technology disputes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking an IP & Technology Litigation Associate with:

• Two to four years of relevant litigation experience

• Experience in AI, copyright, trademark, false advertising and/or trade secrets

• Excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills

• Experience drafting substantive litigation documents and case strategy

• Strong discovery, e-discovery, organisation and client-service skills

• Excellent academic credentials from a T25 Law School

• Admission to the California Bar and good standing

• Experience within a sophisticated major or peer law-firm practice

Trial experience, technology-sector interest and knowledge of relevant IP and computer-access laws are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range is $235,000-$310,000, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, geography and other relevant factors.
