A highly regarded Chicago-based business law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its growing litigation team. This firm is known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated client matters, and commitment to professional development.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in complex commercial litigation matters
- Cite-check and fact-check briefs filed in federal and state courts
- Manage, organize, and track client documents
- Coordinate document review databases and assist with document production
- Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Handle e-filing and docketing in federal and state courts
- Communicate with attorneys, clients, and legal staff while maintaining strict confidentiality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Paralegal certificate preferred
- 5+ years of commercial litigation paralegal experience
- Experience in federal and state court litigation
- Strong e-filing and docketing experience
- Familiarity with Relativity or similar litigation database software
- Knowledge of Bluebook citation standards
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
