Materials Engineer

This position will support a California utility company’s Material Quality Management team. The project focuses on aligning engineering design platforms with SAP Material Master Data Governance to improve material-code accuracy and engineering-data integrity.

Responsibilities will include: Developing tools and processes to map material codes across design and material-management platforms, including applicable pipeline line classes

• Preparing technical documentation and pipeline material specifications for pipe, valves, fittings, and related components using applicable industry standards
• Providing data entry and technical support for SAP and other enterprise systems
• Developing workflows and identifying process improvements for the Material Quality Management team

This is a fast-paced, entry-level engineering position involving multiple assignments and complex systems.

The position is based in Pico Rivera and offers a hybrid schedule. Employees may work several days each week with the team in Pico Rivera and the remaining days from Simi Valley or home, depending on location, project and team needs.

Salary Range:$75,000-$85,000
