Bronx, NY
This is a full time, onsite opportunity in the Bronx with a research site network specializing in late phase psychiatry and neurology clinical trials. The role focuses on screening and diagnostic evaluation of study participants, with the chance to apply clinical skills in a research setting rather than direct therapy. Typical business hours apply, with occasional evening hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screening interviews and diagnostic evaluations to determine participant eligibility for clinical trials.
- Administer psychiatric and neuropsychological rating scales and assessments.
- Support appropriate follow up based on screening and evaluation outcomes.
- Collaborate with site clinicians and study staff to maintain accurate, high quality data.
- Apply differential diagnosis skills across a range of psychiatric presentations.
Requirements
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC licensed in New York, or a master's degree in a clinical mental health related field (art therapy, expressive therapies, and non clinical master's programs do not qualify).
- Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience including diagnostic evaluations, assessments, and patient care in psychiatry or a related setting.
- Experience conducting differential diagnoses strongly preferred.
- Experience with substance use disorder populations is a plus.
- Prior exposure to clinical trials or neuropsychological assessment is a plus, though training will be provided.
- This role is best suited for experienced clinicians and is not intended for recent graduates or those seeking a direct therapy role.
