Operations Lead | Steel Trading

Full job description
Our client, a leading global trading and distribution organization, is looking for an experienced Operations Lead to manage day-to-day trade operations for assigned steel products and coordinate operations across the US and India.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise end-to-end steel trade execution
- Handle Letters of Credit (LCs), banking coordination and customer payments
- Manage customs clearance and international trade documentation
- Review sales/purchase contracts, purchase orders and Incoterms
- Coordinate freight, warehouses, vendors and service providers
- Manage inventory reporting and ageing stock
- Supervise and support Operations team members across the US and India
- Drive operational process improvements
- Work closely with Traders, Finance and other functions
Ideal Profile
- Strong hands-on international trade operations experience
- Good knowledge of LCs, trade finance, customs and logistics
- Strong understanding of Incoterms and trade documentation
- Team coordination/management experience
- Advanced Excel and good ERP knowledge; D365/NAVISION exposure advantageous
- Steel/Metals Trading, Steel Mills or Commodities experience preferred
- Spanish language skills are a plus
