Senior Trusts & Estates Paralegal | San Francisco | Hybrid

$125,000–$150,000

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join a sophisticated private client practice in San Francisco. This is an opportunity for a seasoned paralegal to take meaningful ownership of complex trust and estate matters while working directly with attorneys, clients, fiduciaries, accountants, and other professional advisors.

The position will focus primarily on trust and estate administration, with additional exposure to real estate, entity, and nonprofit matters for high-net-worth individuals and families.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage key aspects of complex trust and estate administrations
  • Prepare asset inventories and coordinate valuations, retitling, transfers, and distributions
  • Support preparation of federal estate and gift tax returns and related schedules
  • Assist with trust funding, probate filings, fiduciary accountings, and beneficiary distributions
  • Prepare deeds, assignments, receipts, releases, and other transfer documentation
  • Coordinate directly with clients, fiduciaries, accountants, appraisers, financial institutions, and title companies
  • Assist with real estate transfers, title and vesting matters, recording requirements, and property tax filings
  • Support entity formation, governance, ownership transfers, compliance, restructuring, and nonprofit matters
  • Manage deadlines, filings, document checklists, and matter status across multiple active engagements

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of trusts and estates paralegal experience
  • Compliance with California Business & Professions Code §6450
  • Strong knowledge of trust and estate administration and related tax and probate processes
  • Experience handling sophisticated matters with a high degree of independence
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Comfortable interacting directly with clients and outside advisors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems; iManage experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is not a purely administrative paralegal position. You’ll have the opportunity to own substantive workstreams, interact directly with senior attorneys and clients, and develop deeper expertise across sophisticated private client matters.

Location: San Francisco, CA

Schedule: Hybrid, approximately 2–3 days per week in office

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000, depending on experience and other legally permitted factors
