Overview
A leading organization in the live entertainment and venue operations space is seeking a Payroll Analyst with strong experience in Oracle Cloud HCM (Fusion) payroll processing. This role is responsible for managing high-volume, multi-entity U.S. payrolls while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical payroll expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payrolls on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly basis using Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Manage payroll relationships, retroactive pay, cost allocations, payroll calculations, and QuickPays.
- Upload and maintain payroll data through HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL).
- Audit payroll transactions, including deductions, tax withholdings, garnishments, and retirement contributions, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile payroll across multiple legal entities and federal, state, and local tax jurisdictions.
- Process employee transfers between legal entities and ensure proper tax treatment.
- Review payroll registers, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before payroll finalization.
- Analyze payroll workflows and recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
- Prepare and maintain payroll reports to support reconciliation and audit requirements.
- Partner effectively with internal stakeholders to support payroll operations and deliver a high level of service.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience using Oracle Cloud HCM (Fusion) Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, FLSA, multi-state taxation, and payroll compliance requirements.
- Experience processing payroll for multiple legal entities and complex organizational structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and resolve payroll issues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and collaborative work style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
- Experience supporting employee populations in hospitality, entertainment, venue operations, or tipped environments.
- Experience processing payroll for unionized workforces.
Work Environment
This position is fully on-site and based in New York City.
