Position : Platform Architect / Principal Platform Engineer
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Compensation: $300k - $340k Base + benefits

About the Role
This role defines and owns the technical architecture of companies Financial Cloud platform — a multi-site, multi-module deployment system serving hundreds of engineers across dozens of global compliance jurisdictions. You will set the architectural vision, make foundational technology decisions, and work directly with engineering leads to ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and operationally excellent.
Major Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in platform/infrastructure architecture/ Principal roles.
- Proven track record designing large-scale developer platforms or Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) used by 100+ engineers.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including operators, CRDs, custom controllers, and multi-cluster management.
- Expert-level experience with GitOps, including ArgoCD or Flux at scale across 10+ clusters, Kustomize, and Helm.
- Strong proficiency in Go, with experience in distributed systems design and API design.
- Experience with software supply chain security, including SLSA, Sigstore, in-toto, SBOM generation, artifact signing, and verification.
