Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to lead the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) function, local sourcing activities, and a team of six procurement professionals. This role provides operational ownership of plant purchasing and capital project procurement, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, supplier performance, SAP discipline, and uninterrupted support for operations, maintenance, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong commercial acumen, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers while managing daily procurement priorities and project workloads.
- Oversee procurement activities for plant operations and capital projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Build and manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing and lifecycle cost analysis.
- Maintain SAP/ERP procurement data integrity and enforce efficient Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Monitor procurement KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Project teams to support business objectives.
- Champion change management initiatives and promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience in an industrial, mining, refining, petrochemical, or related manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience leading procurement or supply chain teams.
- SAP experience required, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
- CPSM or equivalent professional certification.
