Product & Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Product & Compliance Specialist to join our legal team. This role will support legal and business stakeholders by helping review product initiatives, drive proactive compliance efforts across the company, and respond to compliance-related questions from business units. This role is best suited for a professional with experience in a paralegal, legal operations, compliance, contract management, or similar legal support role, ideally within a SaaS company. The right person will be comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, security, go-to-market, and operations teams to help identify risk, improve processes, and support compliance programs in a practical, business-oriented way.

Responsibilities

• Support the legal team with product counseling for new features, workflows, integrations, and internal initiatives
• Review product and business changes to identify potential legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations
• Help manage and maintain proactive compliance programs across a SaaS business, including privacy, data governance, customer commitments, and operational compliance matters
• Serve as a point of contact for internal teams seeking guidance on compliance-related questions
• Partner with product, engineering, security, sales, marketing, customer success, and other business units to support compliant business practices
• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining internal policies, playbooks, training materials, and guidance documents
• Track compliance reviews, follow-ups, approvals, and remediation items across cross-functional stakeholders
• Support customer, vendor, and internal diligence requests related to compliance topics
• Help translate legal and compliance requirements into practical guidance for business teams
• Monitor evolving regulatory and industry requirements relevant to SaaS products and operations
• Identify opportunities to improve legal and compliance processes, documentation, and operational workflows

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a paralegal, legal operations, compliance, legal specialist, or similar role supporting compliance functions
• Direct experience working in the SaaS industry is required
• Experience supporting product-related legal or compliance review in a technology or software environment
• Familiarity with compliance concepts relevant to SaaS businesses, such as customer commitments, data practices, internal controls, policy management, and operational risk
• Ability to respond clearly and practically to compliance questions from non-legal stakeholders
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset
• Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, remote environment
