Production Planner – Custom Manufacturing

Take Ownership of the Production Schedule
Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a well-established, growing industrial manufacturer that designs and builds large-scale, highly engineered production systems for customers across demanding manufacturing industries.
This is an opportunity to join a company that is currently in a significant growth phase, with major projects underway and continued investment in its manufacturing operations.
As the Production Planner, you'll play a critical role in keeping complex equipment projects moving. You'll own production schedules, build and manage Gantt charts, coordinate across departments, and make sure materials, resources, and production activities are aligned with project deadlines.
If you're someone who enjoys organization, planning, problem-solving, and keeping multiple moving pieces on track, this role gives you the opportunity to have a direct impact on major manufacturing projects.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Build and manage Gantt charts to track project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate production schedules for complex equipment and conveyor assembly projects.
- Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, project management, and vendors.
- Ensure materials, labor, and other resources are available when needed.
- Support resource planning and production capacity planning.
- Monitor project milestones and identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays before they impact deadlines.
- Coordinate shipment timing to ensure equipment is delivered according to customer project requirements.
- Communicate schedule changes and updates across multiple departments.
- Help keep projects moving in a fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing environment.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- At least 1 year of hands-on Microsoft Project experience.
- Strong experience creating and managing Gantt charts.
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or a similar environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working across engineering, production, purchasing, and other departments.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify potential delays before they become problems.
Preferred:
- Experience working for a capital equipment, industrial machinery, OEM, or custom manufacturing company.
- Experience coordinating complex equipment or conveyor assembly projects.
- Experience working directly with engineering, purchasing, and vendors.
- Familiarity with production capacity or resource planning.
- Experience with ERP or other manufacturing scheduling systems.
No degree is required for this position.
Why This Opportunity?
- Join a growing manufacturing organization with major projects underway.
- Work on large-scale, custom industrial equipment rather than repetitive production.
- Have direct ownership over schedules that impact real customer deadlines.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, purchasing, project management, and vendors.
- Gain exposure to complex capital equipment and custom manufacturing projects.
- Be part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your ability to keep projects organized directly impacts the business.
- Strong opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in production planning, project coordination, or manufacturing operations.
