This position is hybrid and based out of our New York City office reporting to the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.


The successful candidate will be a highly organized, relationship-oriented and forward-thinking Project Manager who leads and grows the ICSC+PROPTECH ecosystem. This role will serve as the central point of coordination for ICSC’s proptech initiatives, helping connect technology companies, commercial real estate owners, developers, operators, investors, service providers and other industry stakeholders through meaningful programming, partnerships and engagement opportunities. The Project Manager will manage the day-to-day execution of ICSC+PROPTECH, supporting strategic growth, building strong relationships internally and across the ecosystem, and ensuring that the initiative delivers clear value to members, partners and the broader marketplaces industry. This person is equally comfortable developing project plans, coordinating stakeholders (internal and external), managing event details, tracking deliverables and helping shape the future of how technology intersects with retail real estate.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Program and Ecosystem Management

  • Serve as the quarterback for all planning, coordination and execution of ICSC+PROPTECH initiatives, programs and member engagement efforts.
  • Serve as the internal project lead for ICSC+PROPTECH, ensuring priorities, timelines, deliverables and stakeholders are clearly organized and aligned.
  • Help define and maintain the annual roadmap for ICSC+PROPTECH, including programming, events, communications, sponsorship opportunities and industry engagement.
  • Manage the ICSC+PROPTECH advisory council.

Stakeholder and Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with proptech companies, ICSC members, industry leaders, sponsors, venture capital firms, startups and strategic partners.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for participants in the ICSC+PROPTECH ecosystem.
  • Help recruit, onboard and engage companies and individuals who can contribute to the growth and relevance of the initiative.

Programming and Events

  • Support the development and execution of proptech programming at ICSC events, including panels, roundtables, showcases, networking opportunities and educational sessions.
  • Work with the events, content, membership, marketing and sponsorship teams to align programming with broader ICSC priorities.
  • Help identify relevant topics, speakers, moderators and participating companies.
  • Manage speaker coordination, timelines, materials, run-of-show documents and post-event follow-up.

Content, Communications and Market Awareness

  • Stay informed on trends, companies and emerging technologies shaping retail real estate, marketplaces and the broader built environment.
  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to support content that highlights ICSC+PROPTECH activity, thought leadership and member value.
  • Help develop newsletters, website updates, social media content, event descriptions, partner spotlights and other communications as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of ecosystem participants, programming history, engagement metrics and prospective opportunities.

Sponsorship and Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with sponsorship and revenue teams to support proptech-related sponsorship, partnership and participation opportunities.
  • Lead the 1:1 meeting program, including supporting the sales team and sourcing/leading high priority sales opportunities.
  • Help prepare materials, prospect lists, proposals and recaps that support revenue generation and partner engagement.
  • Ensure sponsors and partners receive a high-quality experience before, during and after ICSC+PROPTECH programs.
  • Identify new opportunities for ICSC to expand its reach within the proptech community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in project management, program management, events, membership, business development, partnerships, real estate, technology or a related field.
  • Strong interest in commercial real estate, marketplaces, innovation, technology and the future of the built environment.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and priorities at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior executives, entrepreneurs, sponsors, members and industry partners.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and solve problems with sound judgment.
  • Detail-oriented, responsive and able to move projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, project management or event management platforms preferred.
