Senior Architectural Designer / Project Manager

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Architectural Designer / Project Manager role based in Great Neck, NY. The individual in this position will lead architectural design efforts from concept through construction documents for mixed-use and transit-oriented development projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring designs align with zoning, building codes, and project budgets. The role involves managing project schedules, overseeing design deliverables, and supporting approvals and permitting processes. The Senior Architectural Designer / Project Manager will also participate in site planning, urban design studies, and internal design reviews, while mentoring junior team members and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience in mixed-use or transit-oriented projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in Construction Drawings and Drawing, including proficiency in producing detailed, buildable documentation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Urban Planning, with the ability to integrate site, community, and transit considerations into design solutions.
• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and relevant licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is beneficial.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including schedule, budget, and stakeholder coordination, is highly valued.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to work independently and lead project teams.
• Experience with local New York codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes is a plus.
