We are partnering with a well-established and steadily growing civil litigation defense firm with multiple offices throughout California is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Long Beach team. The firm has built a strong reputation representing public entities and government clients in complex litigation matters, and several of its attorneys have been recognized among California's Super Lawyers and Rising Stars..

Responsibilities

• Handle sophisticated employment defense litigation from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Manage cases independently while collaborating with attorneys and legal professionals.
• Develop case strategy and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Manage cases independently while collaborating with attorneys and legal professionals.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing (required).
• 3+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Experience in public entity or governmental entity, or defense litigation or side walk accident or trip & fall Cases, Railroad cases. death railroad cases, tree branches, incidents at a Park, City Events and injuries happening there, city workers driving that get into car accidents (required).

Salary and Other Compensation:

Annual base salary range: $180k – $220k/year. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
