Job Title: QA Tester with Playwright

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ - 5 days onsite

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with expert-level experience in Playwright. In this role, you will lead the implementation of automated test suites, validate web interfaces and APIs, and integrate testing directly into our deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in JavaScript or TypeScript, understands modern web architectures, and thrives in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Design, build, and optimize robust test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Script Creation: Write maintainable automated test scripts utilizing modern Page Object Models (POM).
• Pipeline Integration: Embed automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Multi-Layer Testing: Conduct comprehensive UI, cross-browser, regression, and backend API testing.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, and thoroughly track software defects in Jira through their entire lifecycle.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with developers and product managers to map testing goals to acceptance criteria.
• Code Maintenance: Conduct regular code reviews of test scripts to maintain code quality standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 7+ years in QA Automation, featuring at least 1–2 years of dedicated Playwright experience.
• Languages: Strong proficiency in programming languages like TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Web Tech: Deep understanding of web fundamentals including HTML, CSS, DOM structures, and REST APIs.
• Tooling: Familiarity with version control tools like Git and API testing utilities like Postman.
• Methodology: Experience operating within rapid Agile/Scrum development sprints.
