We are now seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to lead and strengthen our Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental programs at Shape. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who understands that quality, safety, and environmental responsibility are essential to reliable manufacturing. You’ll build and maintain practical systems that protect our people, strengthen compliance, improve product quality, and support operational excellence – without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and working as a peer partner to the Plant Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a visible impact across the entire Addison facility.

What You’ll Do

As QHSE Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading an integrated approach to quality, health, safety, and environmental management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading Shape’s integrated QHSE management system, aligned where appropriate with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, including policies, procedures, audits, management reviews, document control, training records, and performance reporting.
• Owning the Quality Management System and driving improvements in incoming, in-process, and final inspection, nonconformance management, root cause analysis, CAPA, defect reduction, customer complaints, and supplier quality.
• Maintaining product and regulatory compliance requirements, including UL, CSA, CE, VDE, RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and applicable customer-specific requirements.
• Overseeing inspection, test, and calibration controls, partnering with Engineering and Production to maintain effective electrical test processes, investigate failures, and ensure accurate, audit-ready records.
• Leading workplace health and safety programs consistent with OSHA requirements and ISO 45001 principles, including risk assessments, machine and electrical safety, lockout/tagout, PPE, incident and near-miss investigation, corrective action, training, and employee engagement.
• Managing environmental compliance and improvement efforts aligned with ISO 14001 principles, including chemical management, SDS records, waste and emissions controls, spill prevention and response, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.
• Planning and leading internal audits and coordinating customer, certification, supplier, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely closure of findings and corrective actions.
• Driving continuous improvement through KPIs, plant-floor observation, trend analysis, and root cause methods to reduce defects, scrap, rework, safety incidents, environmental risks, and customer complaints.

You’ll also have the authority and responsibility to stop or escalate unsafe work, nonconforming products, uncontrolled processes, or material compliance risks when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a QHSE professional with a strong manufacturing background and the ability to translate standards and requirements into effective, everyday practices. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a collaborative leadership style, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to our people and customers.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience in Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, Compliance, or integrated QHSE leadership.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA, CAPA, root cause analysis, audits, document control, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coaching, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• A hands-on leadership style and confidence working directly with production employees, engineers, suppliers, auditors, customers, and senior leadership.
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with electrical equipment, transformers, power electronics, calibration, or electrical testing preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor, OSHA safety, or environmental compliance certifications are a plus.
• A team-player spirit, accountability in execution, customer focus, care for people and planet, and a drive for excellence.
