Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Manager role based in Los Angeles, CA. The Quality Manager oversees the quality management system, ensuring adherence to AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and ITAR requirements in PCB assembly operations. Daily responsibilities include developing and updating quality procedures, performing internal audits, managing nonconformances, and leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions. The role also involves collaborating with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues, monitor process performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Manager will interact with customers and external auditors, prepare quality reports and metrics, and provide training and guidance to team members on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management within electronic manufacturing or PCB assembly, including strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation within a structured quality management system.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience conducting internal and supplier audits, managing nonconformances, and preparing for external certification audits.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation related to electronic assemblies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and present clear quality metrics and reports.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and interacting with customers on quality-related topics.
  • Familiarity with ITAR compliance and quality requirements for aerospace/defense or other regulated industries is highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with standard office and quality management software; experience with ERP or MES systems is an advantage.
