Our national growing law firm client is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate to join a sophisticated transactional practice in Hartford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a midlevel attorney looking to take on meaningful client responsibility while working on complex acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing matters, and other commercial real estate transactions.
The role offers hands-on deal experience, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced real estate attorneys in a collaborative environment.
Role Overview
The associate will advise clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Commercial real estate development
- Office, retail, and industrial leasing
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Lease drafting and negotiations
- Transaction closings
- Title and survey review
- Real estate due diligence
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents
- Coordinating with clients, lenders, title companies, and other transaction participants
- Supporting real estate financing matters, where applicable
Candidate Profile
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active Connecticut Bar admission required
- 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, development, and/or commercial leasing
- Experience managing closings and real estate due diligence
- Strong knowledge of title and survey matters
- Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated real estate documents
- Real estate finance experience is a plus
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate law and closing mechanics
- Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating with a broader team
