Real Estate Counsel

Location: Syracuse, NY

Salary: $135,000-$170,000 base

Position Overview:

We are working with a growing real estate investment and development group who are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Counsel to join their in-house legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, negotiate, and review purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, assignments, and other commercial real estate documents.
• Support acquisitions, dispositions, and other property transactions from initial diligence through closing.
• Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning materials, environmental documentation, organizational documents, and other due diligence materials.
• Identify legal and transactional risks and work with internal stakeholders to develop practical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to a state bar and good standing; New York admission is preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred.
