Real Estate Counsel - In-House for Iconic Developer of Trophy Properties

Our client, an established real estate development and ownership company, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Counsel to join its legal team. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this role offers an experienced real estate attorney the opportunity to move closer to the business, work directly with senior leadership and take greater ownership of sophisticated transactions.

The attorney will work across acquisitions and dispositions, development, construction, leasing, financing and joint ventures involving multifamily, mid-rise and industrial assets. The role includes structuring and negotiating transactions, drafting principal transaction documents, working directly with business teams and managing outside counsel when appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have 6 or more years of substantive commercial real estate experience developed as an associate at a Big Law firm and/or as in-house counsel handling sophisticated real estate matters. Candidates should bring strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills, sound judgment and the ability to work effectively with senior executives and business professionals.

JD and admission to practice in New York are required. Compensation includes salary ($240K to $270K++).
