UAS Reviewer – Registered Nurse | Hybrid | New York
A small MLTC is looking for a UAS Reviewer to work primarily remotely except for monthly, quarterly meetings on site in the New York/Westchester area.
Position Overview
The UAS Reviewer will provide training and support to staff regarding UAS documentation and assessment responses while monitoring quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Review UAS assessments for accuracy, consistency, and compliance
• Review community, functional, and mental health assessment responses
• Evaluate cognition documentation to ensure CDPAP eligibility meets regulatory requirements
• Review medications for appropriate frequency and consistency with diagnoses
• Review quality selections and previous assessments
• Review chart documentation to ensure consistency with assessment selections
• Verify documentation of member education and distribution of health-related materials
• Confirm education regarding benefits, including CDPAP
• Ensure functional and community nodes are consistent
• Verify required documentation for service reviews and home status
• Review diagnoses and supporting documentation
• Utilize appropriate review tools to evaluate assessment responses
• Provide training and guidance to staff regarding UAS documentation and quality standards
Requirements
✔️ Active NYS Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
✔️ Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
✔️ Home Care or Managed Care experience strongly preferred
✔️ Strong knowledge of UAS documentation and assessment processes
✔️ Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify documentation discrepancies
✔️ Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
